Bill Moe

After watching the Tacoma Tigers at Old Athletic park in 1919 as an 8-year old, Bill knew what he wanted to do so at age 15 he started playing for a semi-pro county team called the Kirby Pirates....Upon returning to Tacoma from California in 1934 he practiced with several City League teams and was given a chance to play be Lee Kierstead for McNulty Transfer....Other teams played for include Kimball Gun Store, Wheeler-Osgood Lumber, Ander's Florist, Model Lumber, and Superior Dairy under Ocky Haugland....Also played for the Spanaway Lakers in 1937 in the Western Washington League and during the war played for the Tacoma Shipbuilding teams....Moved to Morton in 1946 and played three years for them in the Valley League until finally quitting after 23 years.
